On June 18, from 9:00am to 12:00noon, come out and join the
Houston County Lions Club at their annual Fly-In and Cruise-In
at Southernaire Restuarant & Motel.

HC Historical Society

Check out the Houston County Historical Society!  They have interesting programs each month! 

On May 10, the Houston County Historical Society will have their annual Picnic at the McCampbell’s Pavillion.  They provide the barbecue!  Bring a covered dish and join us!


Irish Day 2022

The 60th Annual Wearin’ of the Green Irish Day Parade and Arts & Crafts Festival will be held on March 19, 2022.  Our Irish Day Celebration is often listed as one of the Top 10 St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the United States!  A complete Schedule of Events is available here.

The proceeds from the paid parking in Betsy Ligon Park will benefit programs at the Erin Church of the Nazarene and the paid parking near Bethesda Mission donations benefit the Lions Club as you visit on Irish Day.  

Information on participating in the 2022 Irish Day is available here. If you wish to be in the Grand Parade, applications are available here.  The Leprechaun Parade will go from the Erin Nazarene Church to the Courthouse.  Please check here for more vendor information.

Sponsored by the Houston County Area Chamber of Commerce, the Houston County Farmers & Artisan market highlights locally grown fruits, produce , small livestock,  honey, baked goods, preserves and Artisan Crafts.  The Market runs every Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm beginning on May 1.
