HCCT
David Cook, Director of the H.C.Youth Center and G.E.Clark, H.C.Youth Center board member, are pictured accepting a$600 check from Judy Deason, President of the Houston County FCE Council.
The funds represent proceeds from the very successful FCE Christmas Home Tour this past December 13.
The Family and Community Education clubs of Houston County are a non-profit group developing their funds especially from the annual FCE Christmas Home Tour and a bake sale held the Friday prior to Mother's Day.
Monies raised by the Houston County FCE clubs are donated to Relay for Life,
the Houston County 4-H Club needs, the Houston County Youth Center,
Imagination Library, the Bethesda Mission, and others.
The Downtown Erin Revitalization project has begun. We are all excited to see the final out come of this project.
New lamp posts & brick sidewalks are in. Scaffolding is off of the facade and it looks like they are
almost ready for the trees.
updated photos taken February 4, 2010.
Thanks to Mrs Kay our FABULOUS librarian.... this is a photo of the Courthouse in the 1950's.
The front of the courthouse in this photo will help give you an idea of the facade they are building on the square (the big thing with all the scaffolding).
The facade is to be a replica of the center front of the courthouse.
